The Optical Express Group are pleased to sponsor the journey of three young men as they embark on the first ever circumnavigation of the globe via mountain bikes. Tom Allen, Andrew Welch and Mark Maultby have embarked on a three year trip that will take them to off-road trails around the world.

The goal of the project is to raise money and awareness for the following charities: The Wilderness Foundation www.wildernessfoundation.org.uk and Wheels4Life www.wheels4life.org, to promote mountain biking as a lifestyle and mode of sustainable transport.
To help them prepare for this around the world trip The Optical Express Group provided them with laser eye surgery to correct their vision, enabling them to travel without glasses or contact lenses.
